Last week, we celebrated the glorious annual Afternoon Tea Week (8th – 14th August) and as always, it is a key seasonal hook on the media agenda, with us Brits being known for our love of all things tea, cake and scones. Perhaps it was even more of an event this year, with us just having celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – we simply can’t get enough of it!

As avid foodies, us Palmsters don’t need much persuasion to talk about food and so of course, we worked our usual PR magic to make sure that our clients were at the forefront of the conversation. Oh La La! Macaron’s partnership with classic tea brand, Quinteassential was featured on Metro Online, encouraging a flourish of online sales from people wanting to get their hands on the limited-edition collaboration, and 100 Queen’s Gate’s Little Explorer’s Afternoon Tea was covered by The Telegraph, resulting in a sell-out success!

Obviously, we can’t talk about Afternoon Tea Week without giving a shout out to some of the other weird and wonderful creations that marked this year’s occasion – we especially loved Devonshire business Blushing Cook’s floral blondies and The Lane’s regency style afternoon tea which gave us major Bridgerton vibes – who wouldn’t want to live like royalty for the day?!

With all this talk about Afternoon Tea Week, we’re rather hungry, so on that note, we’re off to enjoy some delicious brownies sent to us by our lovely client – Oh La La! Macarons, and whilst the sun is shining, we think we will pair them with a refreshing Iced Tea too!
