1. Mirror, mirror on the wall who’s the fairest of them all!
- A mirror that compliments you as you walk past – the stuff of fairytales right? WRONG! IKEA have gone and developed The Motivational Mirror!
- With 49% of us not receiving any compliments throughout the week and a third of the nation feeling their lowest on Monday morning this could be the answer to banishing the Monday Blues and to giving us that extra boost of confidence daily.
- The Motivational Mirror showers you with compliments as you gaze at your reflection – using next generation Kinect motion sensor technology and some very complex coding, it gives personalised praises via voice recordings and text that flashes on the mirror.
- IKEA are trialling this in their stores in an effort to lift the nation’s egos and Myriam Ruffo, head of Bedrooms and Bathrooms in the UK & Ireland said that “We all know how that first look in the bathroom or bedroom mirror can determine whether we have a good or bad day. That’s why we thought – wouldn’t it be great if the mirror actually told you something positive for a change”
- We couldn’t agree more! Now where is our nearest IKEA……

2. Hootsuite to offer paid social media marketing
- Hootsuite, the social relationship platform will within the next 12 months allow users to schedule and manage paid social media marketing across their chosen channels
- The paid functions will be available directly from the sites dashboard and will be informed by Hootsuite’s analytics – handy!
- Hootsuite’s impressive portfolio already boasts features like telling users which messages at which time of the day are the most successful for them and how viral they are
- In addition, the site are looking into offering services to manage organisation’s product sales across social channels, which CEO Ryan Holmes thinks is “going to be a huge market”
- We don’t know about you, but these prospects are getting us even more excited about what the future holds for social media!

3. Senor Ceviche: The first restaurant on Tinder
- It seems Tinder is no longer just for amorous individuals you can now add amorous restaurants to the mix as well!
- The popular pop-up Senor Ceviche, which has been supplying the capital with “fresh ceviches, Lima’s naughtiest street food and smokey Peruvian BBQ” is launching their first permanent site in Kingly Court, Soho.
- But the cheeky brand has taken a unique approach to their PR and the Senor himself is now on Tinder awaiting his first flirtations
- The singletons who are able to charm their way into Senor Ceviche’s heart can win a complimentary meal for two at the new restaurant when it opens later this month.
