The thing that gets me up in the morning is…
A very strong flat white from Ozone Coffee Roasters (our New Zealand client which is happily located just by our offices in Shoreditch!).

What made me want to get into PR was…
I actually started out interning and then freelancing for a News International weekly magazine, which is where I first got exposure to the world of PR and decided it was more for me than journalism. I hopped the fence shortly afterwards to start my first PR role at Ogilvy in Canary Wharf.

If I could change one thing about the industry it would be…
The lack of understanding about the value of PR and the endless debate about the measurability of its results.

My greatest inspiration is…
We are lucky enough to work with some very inspiring start-up businesses, and often it is my clients and their go-get-it attitude that is inspiring. Charlotte Knight, who owns gourmet dips brand G’NOSH, is just one example of this, and it’s brilliant to watch her company grow.

The three things I demand in my colleagues are…
Initiative, intelligence and loyalty.

The character I most dislike in people is…
Inflexibility and negativity.

I laugh most at…
My pug puppy Flossie, who lives in the Palm PR office and is endlessly amusing.

The PR figure I most admire is…
I most admire the leaders of smaller PR agencies, who often prove more dynamic and agile in their thinking and execution of strategy than the bigger, established agencies – driving better results with less resources.

The one website I always check is…
There are so many! Obviously being in PR, I have a definite Twitter habit.

The most interesting fact about me is…
I started out my career in media at a magazine researching the answers to Cilla Black’s agony aunt page: a ‘character building’ exercise!

My daily newspaper of choice is…
We get all the papers in the office, so it’s just a case of wading through – that’s one of the perks of the jobs isn’t it, to read them all?

The finest moment in my career so far is…
I’m very proud of launching Palm and seeing the real impact our work has on our clients’ businesses.

My most embarrassing moment was…
Pretending to be a hotel concierge live on GMTV for a client with a previous agency, as the real concierge fell ill 20 minutes before the show.

I’ve got a secret…
Despite being in food and drink PR, I’m still an embarrassing lightweight when it comes to drinking and often have to sneakily swap a cocktail for a mocktail on a work night out.

If I won the Euromillions I would… Relocate Palm PR to somewhere sunny with lots of palm trees…of course!

The next big thing in social media will be…
It sounds obvious but I think video content will start to grow massively over the next few years. We’re already working with technology such as Google Hangout and finding ways to integrate these into our campaigns.

In five years’ time PR will be…
Even more diverse. There will be more innovative media platforms to reach consumers, which will constantly challenge and evolve the traditional relationships the industry has had with the media and the sheer amount of channels we will have to integrate into campaigns.
